Roshni Support Service

Roshni Support Service

Free counselling and therapy to 16-25 year old young women from Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) communities in Nottingham who have experienced or witnessed any form of gender based violence including domestic violence, sexual abuse or bullying, rape and sexual assault, forced marriage, honour based violence, gang-related violence, sexual exploitation, female genital mutilation (FGM) and emotional or psychological abuse within relationships or within the family.

Counselling offers a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to explore your feelings, focus on staying safe, understanding your point of view, support in making choices that feel right for you and recognise your uniqueness, strength and potential.

In addition, advocacy services are available for young women affected by any of these issues who want practical support and advice with staying safe, leaving an abusive environment, immigration, housing, or education and employment.
